Module 13/14

Video 1: "An Acquiring Mind: Phillippe de Montebello and the Metropolitan." in this video some concepts that I learned about was the the artist was very prideful about his culture. His artwork was able to define and represent his feelings and ideas about his culture. He also had a very outgoing personality.
Video 2: "Low Brow & Low Brow West Coast Pop Art" a key concept that I learned from this video was that different types of art works are created and formed into its own category.
Video 3: "The Tate Modern" something I learned from this video was then when artwork is made, the placement of it is another process that has to be decided.
2. These videos do relate to the creation of my Art Exhibit project and although these videos are different they tie into a general, common relation of theme in my project. Each form of artwork has its own theme within it.
3. I like watching the films, they kept me very entertained, and I learned a lot from each of them. What I learned can be applied to my project.

Modules 7's video reviews

In the prairie school clip, one of the key concepts that I learned was about architecture becoming a style. This was something that became natural to society, and this is what made it a style. In the second video architecture as art it was described that architecture was something that becomes a language that flourishes more and more as time goes on. This means that it becomes something that is used in the everyday life. The videos relate to the readings in the text because in the text the history of architecture and how the structures of buildings, and designing came about. In my opinions I think these films were very informative and they were able to explain to viewers more in-depth about architecture, and the background behind it. I loved it because construction interests me so I love learning more about those things. I chose the films that I watched by random selection. I didn’t know what exactly they would be about but I am glad I picked the ones that I did because t...

Module 4

My thoughts on creating a Value Scale are that I thought this project was creative, and cool. Before this class if someone were to ask me what a Value Scale was I would not be able to describe what that was. Now that I have created one I am able to explain the purpose of one, and what it can be used for. While creating the Color Wheel I was a bit challenged at first because I wasn't sure if I would make the colors correctly like it was shown in the video. After I had noticed that I did it correct, and it became fun to watch the colors blend together, and produce other colors.  The media that I enjoyed working with the most was the color wheel. This is because it was more hands on involving the paint, and brushes. I like working with paint, and painting things and although we were not instructed to paint a object or create a picture with it, it was still fun to put the colors together, and see what can be created from that.  In my opinion an important discovery that I ha...
