Module 4

My thoughts on creating a Value Scale are that I thought this project was creative, and cool. Before this class if someone were to ask me what a Value Scale was I would not be able to describe what that was. Now that I have created one I am able to explain the purpose of one, and what it can be used for. While creating the Color Wheel I was a bit challenged at first because I wasn't sure if I would make the colors correctly like it was shown in the video. After I had noticed that I did it correct, and it became fun to watch the colors blend together, and produce other colors.
The media that I enjoyed working with the most was the color wheel. This is because it was more hands on involving the paint, and brushes. I like working with paint, and painting things and although we were not instructed to paint a object or create a picture with it, it was still fun to put the colors together, and see what can be created from that.
In my opinion an important discovery that I had noticed was while putting the paint together to create the primary colors. I noticed that the color can changed slightly depending on the amount of each color that you put. for example while creating the color green I had put more blue than yellow, and the color came out darker than it was supposed to. I had to add more yellow to create the actual color green that it was supposed to be.
The videos were cool to watch. I rewatched them a couple of times just to make sure I knew what I had to do, and what I was doing was right. something important I learned from watching the video about creating a Value Scale was how to position your pencil in order to create the specific shade of light or dark that you need.
Below are my creations of a color wheel, and value scale !
