Module 8

From the list of videos I chose "The Measure of All Things: Greek Art and the Human Figure" just because I had watched the first few minutes of it and it interested me. In "More Human Than Human" I learned about animals and how they have attractions to specific things. Also in humans certain parts of the body are emphasized. For example on women the breasts are usually bigger. This could mean that those body parts of the most important ones on the body of a female. Fun Art Gallery visit!

I recently visited the Albright-Knox art gallery located in Buffalo, New York. While visiting I saw a lot of very different creative pieces of art. Some that intrigued my to learn more, some that told a story, some that were difficult to understand, but overall it was a great time. There are some amazing artists featured in this gallery, and all of the works of art were beautiful to look at, and try to understand. In the second video architecture as art it was described that architecture was something that becomes a language that flourishes more and more as time goes on. This means that it becomes something that is used in the everyday life. The videos relate to the readings in the text because in the text the history of architecture and how the structures of buildings, and designing came about. In my opinions I think these films were very informative and they were able to explain to viewers more in-depth about architecture, and the background behind it. I loved it because construction interests me so I love learning more about those things. I chose the films that I watched by random selection. I didn’t know what exactly they would be about but I am glad I picked the ones that I did because t...
